Add 1 cup of boiling water. Let it boil for 30 seconds then remove from the heat and set aside.
Next, in a big bowl combine flour, salt and sugar.

Someone likes how vanilla extract smells like.
Butter two 9-in round cake pans add parchment paper then pour the batter equally into the pans. Bake for 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center. Let it cool.
Now lets prepare our strawberry topping: wash, hull and slice strawberries. Place in the bowl and add sugar and vanilla, stir until ingredients are combined. Let it sit and marinate for 15 minutes.
While strawberries are marinating with a stand mixer whisk heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff.
Lets decorate our cake: first peel off the parchment paper from the bottom of the cakes. Place first cake layer upside down on a flat plate or a cake stand. Spread 3/4 cup of Nutella follow by half of whipped cream and half of the strawberry topping.
Repeat with a second cake layer. Cut a slice and enjoy the yummy goodness!

Quote of the Day
Have an amazing day!
Hi! I made this cake for my daughter’s birthday and we all loved it! The only thing was that my whipped cream was a little too soft and was running out of the cake. Yours looks stiff. How long should I beat the cream for? Thanks!
Hi Jen! Happy birthday to your baby girl! I am so sorry to hear that the whipped cream was too soft, I usually beat on high speed for 2-3 minutes but it has to be super cold to work. Maybe your whipped cream was warm, in that case you need to keep it in the fridge until you are ready to beat it. I hope this help!
