How to Make Chocolate Muffins:
Step One
Preheat the oven to 400F, then line muffin pan with paper liners.
Step Two
In a mixing bowl sift flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Step Three
In different bowl whisk eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla extract.
Step Four
Pour buttermilk mixture into flour mixture, stir until batter is just combined. Fold in nuts and chocolate chips. (chocolate chips not pictured :()
Step Five
Divide the batter among the muffin cups, sprinkle extra nuts on top.
Step Six
Bake for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center of the muffin.
Step Seven
Transfer muffins from the pan to the wire rack to cool. Enjoy with coffee or tea.

Double Chocolate Chip Muffins Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoon buttermilk
- 1/3 cup plus 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped nuts walnuts or hazelnuts + extra to sprinkle on top
- 1 cup chocolate chips optional
Instructions

- In different bowl whisk eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla extract.
