Tomato Tulips Easy Appetizer Recipe

Tomato Tulips Easy Appetizer Recipe made of cherry tomatoes, fresh cucumber, dry basil, cream cheese and salt. Super easy tomato recipe even kids can make.

Ingredients
  

  • pint Cherry Tomatoes
  • Chives
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1 medium slice Cucumber
  • 1 teaspoon Dry Basil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Slice each tomato tops half way down making x-shape cuts, make sure tomato stem is side down.
  • Finely grate or chop the cucumber. Remove extra juice and place it in the mixing bowl. Add cream cheese, basil and salt to taste. Give it a good mix.
  • Using fork or a tea spoon add the cream cheese mixture inside the tomato. Use a damp paper towel to wipe extra filling from outside of tomatoes.
  • Place tomatoes on a plate and garnish with chives, basil or parsley. Enjoy!

  3. Did you use cottage cheese, or cream cheese. The recipe list says cottage cheese, the instructions say cream cheese. Cream cheese would work better and that is what I would use…
