INGREDIENTS

Step 1

Preheat the air fryer to 450° F. Some recipes don’t require a preheat, but this one does. It’s the best way to get a nice crust on the outside.

Step 2

Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel and then season all sides with the Montreal steak spice.

Step 3

Wrap a strip of bacon around the edge of the beef and secure it with a toothpick. You can also wrap it around the entire steak; it’s up to you.

Step 4

Place the bacon-wrapped steaks into the preheated air fryer basket. Spray avocado oil over the top.

Step 5

Cook the steaks for 6 minutes and then flip them over to cook for another 4 minutes. I like mine medium-rare, which is an internal temperature of 135°F.

Step 6

Transfer the steaks to a plate to rest. Add a slice of butter on top and allow it to melt as the steaks are resting.

Step 7

Garnish each one with chopped thyme or chives and sprinkle with black pepper before serving.
