Instant Pot Chicken Bone Broth

– 3 lb whole chicken or whole rotisserie chicken 100% optional - remove chicken breast before cooking and use it in different recipe – 1 onion sliced in half – 1 head garlic top removed – 2 teaspoon peppercorns – 1 teaspoon turmeric – 2 bay leaves – salt & pepper to taste

Step 1

Place chicken into the instant pot. Add onion, garlic head, peppercorns, turmeric, bay leaves, salt & pepper.

Step 2

Pour water until water reaches the MAX line.

Step 3

Cover the lid and place the vent valve to ‘Sealing’.  Push the soup/broth setting button for 60 minutes.

Step 4

After chicken broth is done cooking, naturally release pressure for 15 minutes (let the instant pot stand untouched for 15 minutes). Release pressure.

Step 5

Pour the broth thru cheese cloth into the jars or freezer safe containers. Enjoy!

Homemade Chicken Broth can be stored in airtight containers, jars or bags in the FREEZER for 4-6 months & in the FRIDGE 4-5 days.
