Juicy Instant Pot Chicken Drumsticks

– 5-8 chicken drumsticks pat dried with paper towel – 2 tablespoon avocado or grape seed oil – 1 onion chopped – 3-5 garlic cloves minced – 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour – 1/2 cup dry white wine – 1 1/2 cup chicken broth I use Homemade Golden Chicken Broth – salt & pepper to taste – chopped greens for garnish like parsley

Step 1

Pour oil into the Instant Pot and set it on a sauté mode. Add chicken drumsticks and cook on both sides for about 6 minutes or until golden color, transfer to a plate.

Step 2

Into the instant pot add onion and saute for about 5 minutes, stirring few times. Next, add garlic and flour, cook for about 1 minute stirring non stop.

Step 3

Slowly whisk in white wine, smoothing out any lumps. When wine starts boiling pour in chicken broth and season with salt and pepper to taste, bring it to a boil.

Step 4

Return chicken drumsticks back into the Instant Pot, cover with a lid and cook for 20 minutes on meat/stew setting.

Step 5

Quick release the pressure and carefully open the lid.Garnish with chopped parsley. Enjoy!
