Ingredients

– 1 lb flank steak – 1/4 cup cornstarch – 3 tbsp oil – 2 green onions – 1 tbsp sesame seeds For the marinade: – 1/4 cup soy sauce – 1/4 cup water – 2 tbsp brown sugar – 2 tbsp hoisin sauce – 1 tbsp rice vinegar – 1 tsp cornstarch – 1 tsp sesame oil – 3 garlic cloves – 1/4 tsp ground ginger

Step 1

Mix all marinade ingredients in a bowl.

Step 2

Add sliced beef and let sit for 15-20 minutes.

Step 3

Remove beef and coat with cornstarch.

Step 4

Fry beef in oil for 3-4 minutes and transfer to a plate.

Step 5

Fry green onions in remaining oil and add the marinade. Cook until thick, about 1-2 minutes. Add the beef back to the pan and toss in sauce.

Step 6

Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and serve over rice. Enjoy your delicious Mongolian beef!
