Step 1

Beat the butter and sugar in a large bowl using an electric mixer. Cream until fluffy and then add the vanilla.

Step 2

Add the flour to the butter mixture one cup at a time. Then, add the salt and mix everything well to combine.

Step 3

Use a small ice cream scoop or cookie scoop to collect the dough. Roll them into 1-inch balls and place them onto a prepared baking sheet. You can also use a mini cheesecake pan or mini cupcake pan.

Step 4

Press 1 pecan on top of each of the dough balls and bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 12-14 minutes. They should be light golden in color.

Step 5

Combine sugar, butter, and milk, in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring it to a boil and cook for 1 minute, stirring continuously.

Step 6

Remove it from the heat and let it continue cooking while it sits for 5 minutes. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla and mix the glaze until smooth.

Step 7

Once cookies are ready, you can drizzle them with a glaze right away, or wait until they’ve cooled a bit. They’re amazing either way!
