– 1 gallon water
– 3 cups apple juice
– 2-3 stems fresh rosemary
– 5 stems fresh thyme & bay leaves
– 1 whole garlic sliced
– 1/2 cup Kosher salt or to taste
– 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
– 3 tablespoon peppercorns
– 2 tablespoons Original Mrs.Dash spice
– 2 onions sliced
Next, add fresh rosemary, thyme, bay leaves, 1 sliced garlic, 1/2 cup Kosher salt, 1 1/2 cup brown sugar, 3 tablespoon peppercorns and Mrs. Dash spice (or any of your favorite poultry spice).
After, bring everything to a boil, when the brine starts boiling turn off the heat and add 1 gallon of ice about 16 cups. Finally, after the brine cools down add 2 sliced onions and a turkey.
