In a mixing bowl & using mixer, beat 13 tablespoons butter and 1 cup sugar until light color, about 3 minutes. Add 2 cups flour and 1 teaspoon Kosher salt beat until dough turns into clumps. Using hands, press 2 1/2 cups dough mixture into the pan, making 1 inch up sides.
To Make Peach Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine 3 1/2 cups sliced peaches, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt. Pour filling into the crust. Sprinkle the rest of the dough mixture over the top (Tip: You might want to squeeze the dough with your hands to create beautiful clumps) followed by 1/2 cup chopped walnuts.
Bake for about 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until golden crust and filling is bubbling (if the top starts turning brown fast, place a foil paper over the top). Let it cool. Cut into 2 inch - 16 bars. Enjoy with coffee or ice cream!
