For the Cabbage Salad

  • 2 cups green cabbage finely shredded
  • 2 cups red cabbage finely shredded
  • 1/2 bell pepper or whole pepper
  • 1/4 cup green onion finely chopped

For the Cabbage Salad Dressing

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lime juice freshly squeezed about 2 big limes
  • 2 tablespoons shallot finely chopped
  • 3/4 teaspoon sea salt or to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper or to taste
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro finely chopped
  • pinch sugar optional

How to Make Cabbage Salad

  • Combine all salad ingredients in a bowl.
    How to Make Cabbage Salad Dressing
  • Whisk all of the dressing ingredients in a different bowl. Pour dressing over the salad. Mix. Cover and refrigerate for 2-6 hours for flavors to blend.
