Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus: Delicious Side Dish Recipe
Turn simple asparagus into a show-stopping side with bacon-wrapped asparagus! Sweet, savory, and oven-baked, it’s the perfect easy asparagus side dish for any meal.
Preheat the oven to 400F. Line a baking dish with parchment paper for easy cleanup or grease the baking dish with oil.
Snap or cut off the woody ends of the asparagus. Separate the asparagus into 6 bundles. Take one slice of bacon per bundle and wrap it around the asparagus. Use a toothpick if needed to secure. Place the bundles seam-side down in your prepared baking dish.
In a small saucepan, melt butter and stir in brown sugar, a splash of soy sauce, garlic salt, and a little pepper. Heat until a gently simmer — this glaze will make the bacon caramelized and extra flavorful.
Pour the glaze over the bundles. Bake for about 20–25 minutes, until the bacon is crispy and golden.
Sprinkle a touch of black pepper on top and serve warm. These oven-baked bacon asparagus wraps disappear fast — everyone will want seconds!
Notes
Extra crispy bacon: Use a wire rack so grease can drip away.
Make ahead: Wrap asparagus in bacon ahead of time and pour the glaze just before baking.
Storage: Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a couple of days. Reheat gently in the oven to keep bacon crisp.
