A vitamin-packed Green Smoothie Recipe that not only tastes great but is healthy and so easy to make. Tropical fruits, spinach, and collagen powder come together to create a blend of nutrients and flavor in a drink the whole family will love!

There are so many combinations of fruits and veggies that make whole food green and glowing smoothies, but this one is my favorite! It’s made with mango, pineapple, bananas, flax seeds, and spinach, and I like to add a scoop of collagen to mine to ramp up the health benefits even more.
It comes together easily in a blender, and not only does it taste delicious, but it’s got plenty of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. You’ll love it first thing in the morning, as an afternoon snack, or as a post-workout drink.
No matter how and when you drink it, it’ll have you glowing from the inside out!

Why This Recipe Works
- Kids love it - It’s delicious! The spinach gives the smoothie all the health benefits without the taste. This smoothie is delicious thanks to the sweet tropical fruit we’re using!
- Easy to make - When using frozen fruit, there’s no need to spend time peeling, cutting, or chopping fruit. You just dump and pour everything into a blender and mix. It’s that quick and easy.
- Healthy - This green smoothie with spinach delivers vitamins, minerals, protein, fiber, collagen, antioxidants, and more. You can’t go wrong with a healthy and flavorful smoothie made with whole ingredients.
- Cost-effective - I don’t know about you, but I’d much rather save money by making my smoothies at home. Healthy smoothies can be so expensive to buy!
What’s in This Spinach Smoothie Recipe

- Frozen fruit - Pineapple chunks and frozen mango
- Banana - Use half. The riper the banana the sweeter it will be. It will also thicken your smoothie quite a bit, even more so if you decide to use frozen bananas.
- Spinach - Use fresh baby spinach or packed frozen spinach. If using frozen, make sure to thaw it and squeeze out excess water.
- Water or milk - If using milk, use whatever kind you prefer. Dairy milk, almond milk, cashew milk, oat milk, coconut milk, you name it! You can also use coconut water instead.
- Collagen - I sometimes use collagen powder. Use whichever one is your favorite. They do come in different flavors, so just be sure it won’t taste funny in this green smoothie recipe.
- Flax seeds - High in fiber and Omega 3s, flax seeds provide extra nutrients.
How to Make a Glowing Green Smoothie

You’re going to love how easy this 2-step recipe is.
Step 1: Add all ingredients (except the flax) into a high-powered blender. Blenders like Vitamix or Blendtec are great for whipping smoothies into a smooth consistency in less time. Especially when it comes to blending gritty powders.

Step 2: Blend for 1-2 minutes until your desired consistency has been reached. Pour into a glass and sprinkle with flax seeds. Cheers!
This drink is best enjoyed right away. Since it’s so quick to make, there’s no need to make it ahead. If you do have leftovers, it will keep in the fridge for up to 2 days.
Tips & Variations
- Double the recipe and pour half into popsicle molds. The kids will love these!
- Some people have trouble digesting whole flax seeds. If this is the case, you can use ground flax seeds instead. Either sprinkle them on top or blend them right into the smoothie.
- Swap the flax seeds with hemp hearts for something different.
- Try using a different leafy green. Kale would be another great option.
- If you prefer one fruit over another, use more of that one. Use all mango and pineapple, use only pineapple, or use banana and mango. The combination is up to you!
- If you like a thinner smoothie, stick with water and thaw your fruit first. Frozen fruit will always make your smoothie thicker.
