Quick & Easy Mushroom Gravy for Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients YOU will need to make Mushroom Gravy:

1 tablespoon oil, I use grape seed oil
1 tablespoon butter
1 onion, diced
1 carrot, grated
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 pint heavy whipping cream
salt and pepper to taste
parsley for garnish

How to make Gravy for Mashed Potatoes?

  1. Using a skillet or a sauce pan, heat on medium heat 1 tablespoon of oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. Add onion and sauce for 5 – 7 minutes, or until golden color and onion is soft. Stirring few times.

2. In to the same skillet add 1 grated carrot, 8 oz. of sliced mushrooms and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 5 minutes stirring few times, or until mushrooms and carrots are cooked thru.
