Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie - Whip up this smoothie bowl in under 5 minutes. It’s simple to make, loaded with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, and it tastes amazing!

One of my favorite smoothie fruit combinations is a strawberry pineapple smoothie. There’s nothing better than fresh, sweet, and tangy fruit to wake you up, no matter the time of day!
The addition of the banana not only adds sweetness but it helps to thicken it up, which is how I turn my smoothies into a strawberry banana smoothie bowl recipe. Plus, smoothie bowls are the perfect opportunity to add incredible super foods as toppings without compromising the flavor and texture of the smoothie itself.

Why This Recipe Works
Simple ingredients - The smoothie is made with just 4 ingredients and everything else is optional garnish. Switch up the toppings to what you have at home or what nutrients you want to give your body, depending on the day.
Very refreshing - Pineapples and strawberries are both sweet fruits that have an acidic element to them making them so refreshing and vibrant.
Easy to make - It only takes a few minutes to put this strawberry and pineapple smoothie bowl together which is great for busy mornings, mid-day snacks, or post-workout meals.
Healthy - Plenty of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants are contained in each spoonful. You can even ramp up the healthy fats, proteins, fiber, and omega’s by adding extra toppings.
What’s in this Strawberry and Pineapple Smoothie
For garnish - Granola (I have the best homemade granola recipe you can use), sliced strawberries, goji berries, and blackberries or raspberries. Or both.
Banana - The riper the banana, the sweeter your smoothie will be. Use whatever you prefer. To make it extra thick, use frozen bananas.
Pineapple - Use fresh or frozen chunks.
Strawberries - You can toss the strawberries in whole if you are using a high-powered blender like a Ninja or Vitamix. If not, you may want to slice them first.
Almond milk - I prefer to make my smoothies dairy-free, so almond milk is my milk of choice. Feel free to use regular or vanilla for extra flavor. Coconut milk or oat milk works too.
How to Make Pineapple Strawberry Smoothie
Step 1: Add banana, pineapple, strawberries, and almond milk into a blender. Blend for about 1 minute until smooth.
Step 2: Pour the mixture into a bowl.
Step 3: Add your toppings, grab a spoon, and enjoy!
Recipe Tips
- Know your blender. Some models do better when you add the liquid first before everything.
- Wash your fruit. If using fresh fruit, be sure to wash your strawberries and remove the hull.
- Fresh or frozen. I like to use frozen fruit when I want it extra thick! I do this instead of using ice cubes which can sometimes water down the smoothie when they start to melt. This is why I often freeze my fresh fruit just before it gets overly ripe.
- Endless combinations. Use whatever fruit combinations you like for the base of the smoothie. Sometimes it’s best to keep it simple, no more than 2-3 fruits.
Topping Ideas
Nuts: Use chopped almonds, pecans, or walnuts for added crunch, and healthy fat and protein.
Seeds: Hemp hearts, flax seeds, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds.
Fruit: Cherries, blueberries, grapes, apples, pears, sliced bananas
Other: Shredded coconut, cacao nibs, or chocolate chips
FAQs
You can. I find this strawberry pineapple smoothie bowl is perfectly sweet, especially when the fruit is nice and ripe. However, if you want it even sweeter, a drizzle of raw honey or maple syrup might be nice.
It’s best enjoyed right away, but if you happen to have some left, store it in an airtight container or jar with a tight-fitting lid. Give it a shake just before consuming as it may have settled by that time.

Smoothies are the BEST, we always have them, but I like your idea of adding almond milk. My girls don't really like to drink it but they might love it "disguised" in this delicious smoothie! Also, your photography is gorgeous!!! Thank you so much for sharing at Sweet Inspiration #1!!! Have a lovely week!
Munchkin Time
Thank you so much Katrin for a sweet comment! I use almond milk because my daughter is allergic to milk, I am sure you can substitute it with regular milk. It was my pleasure to share this smoothie recipe at Sweet Inspiration!
Happy mother's day!
