    30-minute Bang Bang Chicken Recipe in Air Fryer - incredibly crispy air fried chicken nuggets. They taste AMAZING!!! Crispy, juicy and delicious, made in just 30 minutes. This CRISPY Chinese Bang Bang Chicken recipe is out of this world delicious!

    Easy Chicken Recipe in Air Fryer

    Quick Notes

    • This is a quick chicken recipe, prepare all ingredients and read the instructions first for stressless cooking.
    • Cut chicken breast or thighs into 1 inch pieces.
    • Store left over bang bang chicken by placing it in the airtight container inside the fridge.
    • If you like spicy chicken add more sriracha sauce, if you like less spicy chicken then add less.
    • Grease Air Fryer with any oil of your choice before adding chicken.

    How to make Bang Bang Sauce?

    Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Whisk until everything is combined. Set aside.

    How to make Bang Bang Chicken in Air Fryer?

    1. To make chicken bang in air fryer, first make buttermilk batter by combining buttermilk, flour, corn starch, egg, sriracha sauce, salt and pepper. Then whisk until combined.

    2. Next, working in batches, dip chicken pieces in buttermilk batter then breadcrumbs and add it into the Air Fryer.

    3. Air Fry at 375F for 8-10 minutes or until chicken is cooked thru.

    4. Flip the chicken pieces on the other side once. (Make sure not to crowd the chicken pices inside the air fryer.)

    5. Drizzle the bang bang sauce over the chicken and serve with leafy greens or Fried Rice Recipe with Eggs and Green Onion. Enjoy!

    • Air Fryer

    Ingredients
      

    Bang Bang Chicken Sauce

    • ½ cup mayonnaise
    • 2 tablespoons raw honey
    • ½ tablespoon sriracha sauce or to taste

    Bang Bang Chicken Batter

    • 1 cup buttermilk
    • ⅔ cup all-purpose flour more if needed
    • ½ cup cornstarch
    • 1 egg
    • 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce or to taste
    • salt & pepper to taste
    • 1 lb boneless & skinless chicken breast or chicken thighs - cut into bite size pieces
    • 1 cup Panko bread crumbs more in needed
    • oil of your choice for greasing air fryer

    How to make Bang Bang Chicken Sauce

    • To make bang bang chicken sauce, combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Whisk until everything is combined. Set aside.

      All the flavor without all the oil from deep frying. It was so crispy I shook the second batch in the sauce and we liked that better. Great dinner with air fryer green beans.

      Had to make a few adjustments because hubby cant have corn starch and doesn't like buttermilk. Used regular milk and omitted corn starch. My sauce was a mixture of tom yum sauce and spicy honey. We can't stop eating this! Thank you!!!
