    These are hands down the best homemade nachos with ground beef. Every bite packs a punch and is sure to wow friends and family at parties, potlucks, or on game day. It’s 8 ingredient nacho madness!

    My juicy, savory, and delicious easy nachos recipe make for an easy snack or quick dinner. Loaded with taco seasoned ground beef, queso cheese sauce, and refried beans, every bite packs a punch and will fill you up. Plus, they’re ready to eat in under 30 minutes!

    8 Ingredient Nachos Madness Recipe

    You really don’t need much to create these loaded sheet pan nachos. Layered with seasoned beef, queso cheese sauce, and refried beans, each chip is packed with delicious flavors and spice. This is what you need:

    • Ground beef
    • Taco seasoning
    • Tortilla chips
    • Salsa con queso
    • Refried beans
    • Tomatoes
    • Avocados
    • Black olives
    • Green onion

    How to make nachos with ground beef

    Step 1: Brown the ground beef in a skillet with some oil. Sprinkle taco seasoning on top and stir to combine.

    Step 2: Pour your queso into a saucepan. On the stovetop, heat it on low until it’s warmed through.

    Step 3: Cook the refried beans in a separate pan over medium heat. Add some water to help loosen them up and continue cooking until the beans are bubbling.

    Step 4: Add an even layer of tortilla chips to a baking sheet. Warm up the chips by placing them in the preheated oven for a few minutes.

    Step 5: When they’re warm, assemble your loaded nachos with a layer of ground beef, refried beans, and queso cheese. Sprinkle the cold veggie toppings on top and enjoy!

    There’s so much room for extra toppings on this ground beef nacho recipe. Finish them off with a beautiful presentation by adding a few or all of these suggestions:

    • Salsa verde

    • Mexican crema
    • Cilantro lime crema

    Variations

    • Switch up the meat: You can make this recipe with another kind of meat if you’re not a fan of beef. Follow the same instructions but use ground chicken, turkey, or pork. Furthermore, you can use chorizo to give the nachos some heat or make them with leftover shredded chicken or rotisserie chicken to save time.
    • Make it vegetarian or vegan: Omit the beef entirely or replace it with a plant based ground beef or soy chorizo instead. For vegan friendly nachos, use vegan queso or dairy free shredded cheese.
    • Use more or different cheese: You don’t have to make homemade nachos with queso. A blend of shredded cheese, like cheddar, pepper jack, or Monterey jack will melt nicely and add great flavor to each chip.
    • Bake everything at once: If you prefer your nacho recipe with ground beef to be served extra hot, bake the tortilla chips with the layers of beef, beans, and queso (or shredded cheese) all at once. Once the cheese is bubbling or melted, take the nachos out of the oven and add your toppings.

    Equipment

    • baking sheet
    • sauce pan

    Ingredients
      

    • ½ lb ground beef
    • 13 oz tortilla chips
    • 16 oz salsa con queso Mission brand
    • 3 tomatoes cubed
    • 2 large avocados cubed
    • green onion chopped
    • 8 oz refried beans
    • 1-2 teaspoon toca seasoning
    • salt to taste
    • black olives

    Instructions
     

    • Preheat the oven to 400F.
      Place avocados, tomatoes and onion in a bowl, set aside.
      Place ground beef in the skillet, season with taco seasoning and saute on medium heat until meat is cooked thru, about 5 minutes. Add salt to taste.
    • Place salsa con queso into small cooking pan, cook on low for about 3-5 minutes, until the cheese is hot. Grab another pan and cook refried beans on medium heat, add few tablespoons of water, cook until it starts bubbling, set aside.
    • Put tortilla chips on a baking sheet and place it in the oven for few minutes to warm up the chips.
    • Once everything is heated thru and cooked, now lets garnish your Nacho madness. First sprinkle ground beef all over tortilla chips, add refried beans, drizzle melted salsa con queso cheese, and add tomato salsa. Serve while hot. Enjoy!

    Notes

    • If you're not a fan of beef, you can use ground chicken, turkey, or pork instead. You can also add some heat by using chorizo, or make it even easier by using leftover shredded chicken or rotisserie chicken.
    • If you're vegetarian or vegan, no worries! You can take out the beef entirely or replace it with a plant-based ground beef or soy chorizo. And for a vegan-friendly option, simply use vegan queso or dairy-free shredded cheese.
    • If you're a cheese lover, you can definitely use more cheese or mix it up with a variety of shredded cheese like cheddar, pepper jack, or Monterey jack. It'll melt perfectly and add a ton of flavor to each and every chip. Enjoy!
