  • You can make Chicken Marinate one day ahead by storing it inside the fridge until you need it.
  • Also after marinating chicken wings you can rinse, pat dry with paper towel and store chicken in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
  • Cornstarch helps chicken wings brown when baking, it also helps BBQ sauce stick better to the meat.

How to Marinate Chicken?

To make chicken marinate, using a pot combine 2 bottles of beer, 2 tablespoons of sea salt and 1 1/2 tablespoon of sugar.

Bring it to a boil, continuously stirring simmer for 3 minutes. Let it cool (Never add chicken to a hot marinate).

Marinate poured over the chicken wings to marinate for 1 hour.

How Long to Marinate Chicken?

After marinate cools down, pour it into a bowl with chicken wings, cover and marinate for 1 hour or more than 2 hours.

How to Bake BBQ Chicken Wings in the Oven?

Preheat the oven to 450F, prepare your baking sheet by greasing it with oil or butter (I love using cast iron skillet in this CHICKEN RECIPE!).

Cornstarch added to the chicken wings.

Rinse chicken in cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Toss chicken wings with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, then spread the chicken wings on a baking sheet or cast iron skillet.

How Long to Bake Chicken Wings in the Oven?

Bake for 25 minutes, flip on the other side and bake for another 10 minutes or until yummy roasted color.

Transfer chicken wings into a bowl and toss it with 1/2 cup of your favorite BBQ Sauce (This is the brand I like to use!), return back to the baking sheet and sprinkle about 2 tablespoons of mozzarella cheese over the top, bake for 5 more minutes.

Garnish with finely chopped parsley if desired. Serve with French Fries in Air Fryer or Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes. Enjoy!
